A Dream 30 Years in the Making

Salvatore "Sal" Marchetti learned to make dough from his grandmother Antonella in Avellino, Italy. When his family emigrated to the US in 1987, he brought her recipes — and her spirit — with him.

After decades of Sal working as a contractor and his wife Gemma as a school librarian, their kids are grown and they're finally pursuing the dream: a neighborhood pizzeria on Main Street in Beacon.
